The bookstore is compact and well curated. It has a great variety of books, updated regularly. When you walk into the store, you can find second-hand books and magazine on your left. With multiple music venues nearby, Williamsburg is the uprising heart of New York’s art and music scene. About Us Hi everyone. Welcome to NYC Bookstore Journey! This is a blog started by three Fordham MSMI students who are dedicated to introduce what they consider the best independent bookstores in New York City.  As we all know, physical bookstores or even physical books are facing a major crisis since the digital age. A lot more people prefer to read e-books since they are cheaper, the usage of smartphones is also changing our reading habits. We are more inclined to read short concise articles on the phone instead of books. As e-commerce becomes more deeply embedded in the fabric of our daily life, bookstores are undergoing a final shakeout.  The number of brick and mortar bookstores in every city is declining.
