CAFE CON LIBROS is a feminist community bookstore and coffee shop catering to folks who are book lovers, coffee aficionados, or both. Why a feminist bookstore? The owner and founder of CAFE CON LIBROS, Kalima DeSuze, said, “I was introduced to feminism just naturally, organically by Black women in the hood, where I’m from, doing things for themselves. Kicking doors down and serving their worth and their value.”

The bookstore regards ‘Family. Community. Justice. Art. Transparency. Accountability. Equity. Equality. Authenticity. Joy. Solidarity. Earth. The brilliance and possibility of imperfection. Love.’ as their values.

What We Like About CAFE CON LIBROS

The Variety of Books ⭐⭐

CAFE CON LIBROS has an excellent variety of feminist and children’s books, with well-curated book selection, ranging from liberal feminism to radical feminism and plenty of children’s books.

The Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The welcoming, cozy, and inclusive environment of CAFE CON LIBROS has attracted many readers. Besides, it is a decent place to meet friends over coffee. The bookstore is also a great place to bring your kids and read them a store, or you could grab a quick coffee and go for work.
The well-organized place can sit for 14 people. The great service and kind staff in the bookstore make readers feel comfortable and relaxed, too.

The bookstore holds many club activities as well, where you can have a cup of Cappucino and discuss it with other club members. This means you can be part of CAFE CON LIBROS!
Several upcoming events are as follows.

The Price ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Generally, the price of books is reasonable. You can also find used books for $5 here. To have a cup of coffee or tea for the price range from $1.5 to $3.5 is a good choice as well.
